This privacy policy explains how the Netmine browser extension ("Extension") collects, uses, and protects your information. We are committed to transparency and safeguarding your data.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Authentication Token

When you log in to your Netmine account via the Extension or the mine.ac website, a session token (JWT) is stored locally in your browser using the chrome.storage.local API. This token is used solely to authenticate API requests to Netmine servers.

1.2 Mining Status Data

The Extension periodically polls the Netmine API to retrieve your:

• Mining status (active/inactive)
• NMT token balance
• Current mining plan information

This data is cached locally to display in the Extension popup and is refreshed every 30 seconds.

1.3 No Personal Data Collection

The Extension does NOT collect, store, or transmit:

• Browsing history or URLs visited
• Passwords or form data
• Personal identification information
• Cookies from other websites
• Keystrokes or screen content
• Device identifiers or fingerprints

2. How We Use Information

The limited data described above is used exclusively to:

• Display your mining status and NMT balance in the toolbar
• Enable start/stop mining controls from the Extension popup
• Send milestone notifications (e.g., reaching 500 NMT)

3. Data Storage

All data is stored locally on your device using the browser's built-in storage API (chrome.storage.local). No data is stored on external servers by the Extension itself. API requests are made only to mine.ac servers.

4. Data Sharing

We do NOT share, sell, or transfer any user data to third parties. The Extension communicates only with Netmine servers (https://mine.ac) for mining functionality.

5. Permissions Explained

• storage: To save your authentication token and cached mining data locally
• notifications: To alert you about mining milestones
• alarms: To schedule periodic status checks (every 30 seconds)
• host_permissions (mine.ac): To communicate with Netmine API servers

6. Security

All communication between the Extension and Netmine servers uses HTTPS encryption. Authentication tokens are stored securely in the browser's extension storage, which is isolated from web page access.

7. Your Rights

You can at any time:

• Log out from the Extension to clear your authentication token
• Uninstall the Extension to remove all locally stored data
• Request data deletion from your Netmine account at admin@mine.ac

8. Children's Privacy

The Extension is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
